I had these for three months and both the headset that came with and the extra headset I purchased had stopped working. No need for batteries. this means if your slouching on the couch instead of sitting up.Get the TV Ears instead.
No charger option. I can go anywhere in the room. Not to mention that these I had to replace the batteries every week.
they are more expensive but are so much better in reception. You had to be perfectly aligned with the main unit at all times. Lots of regular static when out of direct line.
They sit in a base when not in use and recharge. You can buy at Costco for $4p (best deal anywhere).
Sound not good at all, alot of static. Very limited range, you have to be directly in front of the base unit to pick up the sound. It was advertised to work up to 30 feet from the base unit.
So these are perfect and cheap enough that you can buy a set for another tv which is what I am going to do when I finish this review. Also the headset is comfortable.
When I saw these and read the reviews, it sounded like what I hand in mind. wireless, not too cumbersome, inexpensive, easy set up.
Not having any knowledge of hearing aids for tv, I went to Consumers Report and Amazon reviews. Actually, my hearing is not too much of a problem but watching tv in the bedroom while my wife wants to go to sleep is the major snafu.
I have been completely delighted with this headphone. My wife loves it also since I don't blast her out of the room.
The other application for the headset is if you need the volume louder than your wife can stand, you can turn up the volume on your headset. Highly recommended.
It is very small for the senior to operate. This item was purchased for my 85 year old uncle. The only thing I wish was bigger is the on/off button. Plus the on light should be bigger or brighter. Otherwise we are very pleased with the product
you can hear background elevator music/some other show while wearing them. The show you currently watch has great sound a bit of a hissing noise though. Not horrible though for the price.
